  viewers based on free source code are available, EG Ascii, Html,

Any request for MS-Word or Excel format is declined.  This proprietary non
public format from convicted monopolist Microsoft, is very inefficient, can
carry viruses, & illicitly export unintended user data, (as found by Phar Lap)

Unix can read .doc, eg with Open Office & other bloated office
packages, but I won't use them.  I use only light small programs
that run fast even on old small mobile computers & loaded multi
user systems etc.
